About Washed Silica Sand

“MEREN” Washed Silica Sand

Washed silica sand refers to silica sand that undergoes a washing and rinsing process after mining.

Middle East Regional Development Enterprise “MEREN”

After mining, silica sand goes through a washing and rinsing process to become washed silica sand. Clay, salt, and other powders and particles are removed from the combination. It usually goes through extra separation and grading into grit sizes. Sizes of granules for washed silica sand include medium, coarse, fine, and ultra-fine. Also, it is utilized in many different industries, including foundries, glass, ceramics and refractories, abrasives, filtration, oil well cementing, and metallurgical silicon.

“Washed silica sands produced by MEREN are known for their quality and versatility. These sands are meticulously washed to meet specific size criteria, offering ranges from 200-500 microns and 500-1000 microns. They boast high purity, typically containing a significant percentage of silicon dioxide (SiO2), ensuring exceptional quality.

The precisely defined particle sizes within these ranges allow for flexible use in diverse applications across various industries. These sands find applications in construction, glass manufacturing, chemical production, paints, and more. MEREN’s washed silica sands represent a reliable and versatile option for different industrial needs, characterized by their quality and varied utility.”
